Eddie Bennett, Christopher Bellis and their children David and Sherie Bellis-Bennett have a passion for travel, food and people. Being innkeepers allows them to share those passions, in hopes that their guests have a uniquely wonderful experience at The Inn.
Married in a commitment ceremony on March 3, 1996, and legally married on March 3, 2012, they had long thought about finding a way to retreat to a more casual environment where they could operate their own business and enjoy the richness of a supportive local community. Moreover, Eddie and Christopher added two children to their family, David and Sherie, which prompted them to realize that if they were going to make a change, there would be no better time than the present.
After searching for business hospitality opportunities in Connecticut and Vermont (they are skiers), they chose to look into the three-plus season resort region of the Mount Washington Valley. On their first visit here they experienced the friendliness of the local people and viewed the many-year round activities that the valley area offered and quickly realized they had found their potential new home. With two young children, they felt the ideal business opportunity would be running an inn or bed and breakfast, which would allow them to continue to entertain guests in their home and also allow them to spend time with their children – and they found the perfect place at the Cranmore Inn.
Eddie and Christopher immediately fell in love with the 150-year-old inn and are now excited to be part of the North Conway community and hope to be able to enrich it further over the coming years.
